Go to namecheap.com and search for your business name — for example, timcullenroofing.com. Buy the .com for around $12/year. You'll need to create a free Namecheap account to complete the purchase.
Go to netlify.com and sign up for free. Netlify is where your website lives — think of it like Google Drive, but for websites. Once logged in, drag and drop the HTML file we send you onto the Netlify dashboard. Your site will be instantly live on a temporary URL like your-site.netlify.app.
In Netlify, go to Site Settings → Domain Management → Add custom domain. Type in the domain you bought (e.g. timcullenroofing.com). Netlify will show you a set of DNS numbers — copy them, you'll need them in the next step.
Log into your Namecheap account. Go to Domain List → Manage → Advanced DNS. Delete any existing records and paste in the DNS numbers Netlify gave you. Save the changes.
